Escape to movies on hot hot day

The heat was atrocious. Real feel temperature over 100 degrees. We were delirious –hilarious. My wife and daughter and I escaped to the movies , the AMC in Plymouth Meeting, PA just outside of Philadelphia, for an air conditioned and diverting evening. Lots of other people had the same idea. Inside the theater, we first saw a public service movie encouraging adults to encourage their kids. Then we saw Toy Story 3 in 3d. We were nice and cool and the flick was a whoop. A cool night at the movies concluded our day in the hot life

David Wiesner Presents "TUESDAY"

“In the case of “Tuesday” I had the desire to make something
that I thought was funny but also to bring into it some of the language of the
comic book. I grew up reading comic books.... Guy up having a midnight snack
outside the window, here come the frogs. So I drew that shape, that round
blobby shape and the round circular bottom and I looked at it and this is what I
saw. I saw flying saucers particularly ones from old 1950s science fiction
movies, the classic flying saucer. And that’s what made me think, “Oh!” I can
take that frog on a lily pad. “ David Wiesner, author /illustrator, “Tuesday”
